What is the 13th Street Clubhouse?
It is an independent nonprofit whose primary purpose is to provide meeting space for groups of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon.
Where does the clubhouse’s money go?
All revenue received from clubhouse memberships, donations, meeting rents, and concession sales is used to pay staff and cover the bills, maintenance, supplies, and other expenses required to keep the clubhouse operating. No owner, individual, or outside entity receives a distribution of profit. All money goes back into the clubhouse and its mission.
Do I need a clubhouse membership to attend a meeting?
No. All meetings at the clubhouse are free to attend, and a clubhouse membership is not required.
What does a clubhouse membership include?
A clubhouse membership supports the clubhouse and includes access to facilities between meeting times, concession-counter discounts, and participation in clubhouse governance while in good standing.
How much does a clubhouse membership cost?
A clubhouse membership is $12 per month or $120 per year.
Can I convert my counter-paid clubhouse membership?
Yes. Sign up for an online clubhouse membership around your usual dues date. We will connect the new online membership to your existing counter-paid clubhouse membership so your clubhouse membership record continues in the online system.
How does sponsoring a clubhouse membership work?
- Choose “For someone else,” then select monthly or annual billing.
- Enter the sponsored person’s information and your payment card. Your card is charged for the initial payment and future renewals.
- The person you sponsor receives an email inviting them to set up an account. They can view the clubhouse membership status, but your payment information remains private.
- You continue managing the billing and payment method from your clubhouse membership account.
- When the person you sponsor is ready to pay, sign in to your clubhouse membership account and use the “Invite to take over” button.
- The person you sponsor receives an email invitation to take over. By entering their own payment information and accepting the invitation, they assume full control of the clubhouse membership. Their card will be used for the next scheduled renewal; accepting does not create an immediate charge.
Where do I enter?
Use the red front door beneath the 13th Street Clubhouse sign. Central Office has a separate entrance on the side of the building.
When is the clubhouse open?
The clubhouse is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
How many meetings are held at the clubhouse?
The clubhouse is home to 11 Alcoholics Anonymous groups offering 26 A.A. meetings each week, plus two Al-Anon groups offering five Al-Anon meetings each week.

Can I use the clubhouse between meetings?
Active clubhouse members may use the facilities during operating hours between meetings. Nonmembers who are attending a meeting are welcome 30 minutes before and after the meeting, and guests may use the clubhouse when accompanied by a clubhouse member in accordance with the clubhouse rules.
Can I donate without a clubhouse membership?
Yes. You do not need a clubhouse membership to support the clubhouse. You can donate online, give at the concession counter during clubhouse hours, or mail a check to 13th Street Clubhouse, 1013 E 13th Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101.
How do memorial chair sponsorships work?
With a contribution of at least $100, the clubhouse purchases a new chair and adds a brass nameplate honoring a deceased member, old-timer, supporter, sponsor, friend, or family member in recovery. Visit the Memorial Chairs page to submit the name exactly as it should appear on the plaque and complete the sponsorship securely through Square.
Who oversees the clubhouse?
The clubhouse manager and staff handle daily operations. A nine-member Board of Directors, elected by clubhouse members, provides leadership and stewardship. The board meets monthly, board members serve 18-month terms, and elections are held every six months.
